Artist Kathleen Hartman received an Award of Merit at the Englewood Art Center, Englewood, Florida, for her pastel painting "Blue Weimaraner." According to the judge it was a very good representation of the breed. The award was presented on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at an afternoon opening reception at the art center. The judge for the show was Florida Artist, Nancy Colby, who is locally renowned for her paintings of animals. Nancy's comments about the show were "As an animal portrait artist, I judged this show with my heart and not my eye. Animals of all kinds are winners-and so is this show. Well done, everyone."
